Polygon is a closed figure made up of line segments

Almost every object that we see is made up of shapes and closed figure; from the simplest of paper to a more complex airplanes are all made up of a combination of shapes and closed figures. In simple words, shapes and closed figures are the foundation of every object that we see in our eyes. However, even closed figures have its beginning. How closed figures are formed? What is a closed figure made up of?

Closed Figures are made up of Line Segments

Line segment is a straight line joining two endpoints and is the fundamental concept in the field of geometry. Line segments may be infinite in length, or fixed length depending on its endpoints. Now by connecting these line segments, shapes or closed figures can be created. Thus all close figures are made up of line segments whether the connecting ling segments are equal or not. Polygon is a closed figure made up of line segments. Pentagon for example, is a polygon made up of 5 connecting line segments of equal length. Triangle is also a polygon made up of 3 connecting segments, but varies in length.
